Exploratree
Exploratree is part of the Enquiring Minds project - a 3 year, £1m programme to develop new perspectives about the way children learn.The aim is to change the relationship between children and teachers, where children are traditionally passive receivers of information.
The product is a mix of software that allows children to express themselves creatively and a social network where individual pupils, groups and teachers work together collaboratively on projects. In line with the innovation aims of the Enquiring Minds programme, Exploratree explores a completely new paradigm for schoolwork.
Bringing web 2.0 and social networking into the classroom
Although currently only in Beta, Exploratree was adopted by hundreds of schools worldwide within the first few weeks of release and regularly sees over 10,000 unique users a day.
